Step out with purpose this September and be part of the brand-new Home-Start Hike! Choose from four beautiful countryside routes and walk for a reason that matters to you – whether it’s quality time with the family, a personal challenge, or a fun team-building day out with colleagues. Whatever inspires you to take part, your steps will help support a great local cause. Every penny raised goes directly towards helping Suffolk families who are facing tough times – including mental health challenges, loneliness and isolation, domestic abuse and family breakdown.

About the Home-Start Hike
Hike distances & start times
There are four scenic routes to choose from, all starting at Kingfisher Leisure Centre, in Sudbury. The 3, 6 and 13 mile Hikes will also finish at the Kingfisher Leisure Centre, and the 26 mile Hike will finish at Bury St Edmunds Cathedral.

Registration fees & sponsorship
Registration to take part in this event starts at just £10. When you register to take part in the Home-Start Hike you will also be agreeing to raise the minimum sponsorship required: Registration fees & sponsorship
Please note all children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Corporate Teams
We’re inviting local businesses to enter teams in the Home-Start Hike. Each team can have up to 6 staff members, and they can choose their own distance. Team members don’t have to walk the same route or stay together, but they must confirm their chosen distance once they have registered. Adults and children taking part can also purchase event T-shirts : Home-Start Hike T Shirts
T-shirts will be available to collect on the day when you sign in for the event. (Please note there are changing facilities available at Kingfisher Leisure Centre).
Useful Information
Refreshments & aid stations
A refreshment stand will be available at Kingfisher Leisure Centre throughout the event. For those participants taking part in the 13 and 26 mile Hike, aid stations will be available at approximately 3 mile intervals.
